Andrew Barnsley’s Appointment to Toronto Film School’s Presidency Spreads Across the Globe

Word of Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning executive producer Andrew Barnsley’s new leading role as president of Toronto Film School spread far and wide shortly after our exciting news dropped.

 

Media outlets both here in Canada and around the world were quick to pick up on our momentous announcement that Barnsley – the CEO of Project 10 Productions and an executive producer on Schitt’s Creek – will be taking over the helm of Toronto Film School in July.

 

Variety magazine – Hollywood’s “premier source of entertainment news” – was first to break the news at the crack of dawn on May 17. Read its coverage here.

Meanwhile, over in the Twitterverse, a few of Barnsley’s famous friends and industry connections tweeted out their well wishes on his new role – including Schitt’s Creek star Eugene Levy, comedian Caroline Rhea and Pop TV president Bradley Schwartz, as well as the Canadian Film Centre and Canadian Media Producers Association.

 

 

Lastly, Barnsley rounded out his big announcement day by participating in an evening panel discussion alongside Jann star Jann Arden and Marguerite Pigott, the City of Toronto’s Film Commissioner and Director of Entertainment Industries. Watch the entire panel here
