TFS Musical Talent Spotlighted at Upcoming Concert Featuring Hart Massey and Simeon Ross

The musical talents of two of Toronto Film School’s very own will be in the spotlight at The Painted Lady next week during an exciting live show.

Acting for Film, TV & the Theatre Program Director Hart Massey will take to the stage alongside The B-Sides, while Acting alumnus-turned-instructor Simeon Ross will perform in celebration of the release of his latest video for the single, Revelry, during the July 10 show.

Rounding out the evening’s lineup will be Sigrun Stella, an Icelandic-Canadian singer-songwriter known for her ethereal sound and lyrical depth.

The event will take place as follows:

Time: 6:30 to 9 p.m.
Location: The Painted Lady, 218 Ossington Ave.

Simeon Ross

Ross, who graduated from TFS is 2019, has long balanced dual careers in music and acting. With a rich history in the Canadian indie music scene, he’s written and released more than 10 albums with various bands including Red Autumn Fall, Charmer, Infighter, Shoot The Image and Uniter, and now as a solo artist. His music blends rock, pop, and soul influences, characterized by heartfelt lyrics and a dynamic stage presence.

Hart Massey

Massey, whose artistic career spans decades as a director, performer and educator, is also an accomplished musical performer in his own right. In addition to leading one of Toronto Film School’s flagship programs, he’s known for his engaging performances singing alongside The B-Sides and storytelling through music.

The evening promises to be a memorable opportunity for TFS students, staff, faculty and alumni to support and celebrate the creative endeavours of two of their own outside the classroom. All are invited to come out and experience a night of original music, community spirit, and TFS talent on full display!

Cynthia Reason

Cynthia Reason (she/her) is a former newspaper journalist turned communications professional who currently works as Toronto Film School’s Manager of Communications. Prior to joining TFS, she spent 13 years working as a reporter for Torstar/Metroland Media Toronto, writing for publications including Toronto.com, the Etobicoke Guardian, and the Toronto Star, among others. Her byline has also appeared in the National Post. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph and Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism from Humber College.
