Zahra Faraji Instructor, Film Production
Zahra Faraji is a writer, director, producer, and educator whose work spans theatre, journalism, documentary filmmaking, screenwriting, and narrative film production. Before moving to Canada, she spent 14 years teaching acting in Iran and earned recognition as an award-winning stage director and screenwriter. Her films explore social issues through character-driven, emotionally engaging stories, often focusing on identity, justice, and resilience. Her latest feature, Maasou, follows a woman’s struggle for autonomy within a patriarchal society and reflects her commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices.
