Writing for Film & TV student’s pilot gets picked up by Rogers TV

Term 2  Writing for Film & TV student, Brad Vermunt, got his series picked up by Rogers TV Waterloo.

Brad produced, directed and wrote a low-budget pilot with his creative partner Lee Pinnell, that has been picked up for five episodes. This is an incredible feat for a student. Brad and Lee are utilizing all resources supplied from the Toronto Film School, including equipment, mentorship from instructors, a crew from TFS’s Film Production program and Acting students from TFS’s Acting for Film, TV and the Theatre program. This is truly a collaborative effort. The show is a comedy/sketch show similar to Kids In The Hall.

Students in the Writing for Film & TV program (and all Toronto Film School programs) enjoy the benefits of learning under instructors who are still working professionals in the industry. Their ability to provide practical mentorship prepares students for success in the industry.
