Grads Mo-Town App to raise funds for Movember

Last month we told you about a trio of Toronto Film School alumni who had teamed up to start their own independent video game development studio (read their story here). Now the men are jumping into the Movember movement with their latest game Mo-Town.

Adam Carbone, James Hooks and Michael Kanitsch graduated in 2013 from of the Video Game Design and Development and Video Game Design and Animation diploma programs now offered through the Toronto Film School and came together to create Lucky Mask Games.

On Nov. 1 Lucky Mask Games will release its latest game Mo-Town. This mustache-themed game features players hurling whiskers at their clean-shaven enemies.

Players can choose from a variety of outfits, hairstyles, and hats from the old metropolitan era to create a customized character. Players have to be aware of buzzers and clippers, as they’ll shave characters “Mo’s” off while competing for a high score and challenge the leaderboards. Combs also unlock a number of different styles of “Mo’s” to dress your character up with.

During the month of November, half of the proceeds from sales of the app Mo-Town will be donated to Lucky Masks’ Movember Campaign, committed to changing the face of men’s health. The annual Movember campaign compels men all over the country growing mustaches to garner donations in support of men’s health.
