Affiliations
The school has developed relationships with organizations such as the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Fan Expo, Level Up, IO Connect, and more—to ensure our student work is showcased to industry, the public and peers.* This allows for helpful feedback while making valuable connections.

Modern Studios and Industry-Grade Equipment
A 17,000 square-foot studio facility at our Yonge Street Studio Campus. Here you will find 5 studios, an audio booth, equipment room, student lounge and classrooms.
A $250,000 recent investment in new Hollywood-grade equipment means we can provide our students with over 50 new Sony cameras, Arri Alexa Mini and Alexa Mini LF cameras, Sony wireless and Sennheiser shotgun microphones, and much more.
Student Fest
Student Fest is a student-led initiative, providing collaboration opportunities and prizes. Past event partners include:
TFS Festival
Once a year, Toronto Film School hosts a festival of student projects leading up to an awards ceremony. Films, video games and graphic designs are put on display for students, alumni, and guests to see. Projects are judged in 20 categories by a panel made up of faculty and industry professionals.
Level Up Showcase
The Level Up Showcase event is all about celebrating and recognizing student talent in video game creation. Here, in this provincial competition, students put their work on display and make new contacts in the process. In 2023, a panel of industry professionals awarded Infestari—a game made by our students—with the Best Artistic Achievement” award. Approximately 2000+ gaming enthusiasts and industry professionals were in attendance, with over 100 games submitted for judging.
Studio Screenings
Toronto Film School’s connections with major film studios allows us to provide our students with advance screenings of the latest Hollywood films.
A Partnership with ACTRA
Toronto Film School is the first private career college in Ontario whose acting graduates have the option of applying for their first ACTRA credit. ACTRA, the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists, requires three credits for membership. By graduating with the ability to secure their first credit, our students are just two credits away from full membership—permitting them to perform in union productions of commercials, TV shows, and films.
Video Game Industry Nights
At this live, virtual event—held regularly—prospective students will have the opportunity to hear stories and advice from the students and graduates of our Video Game Design & Development and Video Game Design & Animation Diploma programs. During this special evening, industry-related activities are always planned, such as a live build of a model for a video game, and a Q&A period.
