TFS Set to Adopt Studiosity’s 24/7 Online Writing and Math Support Service

Toronto Film school will officially usher in a brand-new era of academic support for students this summer with the launch of Studiosity.

Dr. Deirdre Pickerell, Toronto Film School’s Dean of Student Success, said the decision to adopt the 24/7 online writing and math support service came on the heels of a highly successful three-and-a-half month trial period between Studiosity and Toronto Film School’s affiliate, Yorkville University.

“I think our pilot has shown that it has been a huge success. We’ve had great feedback from students around Studiosity,” she said, noting that, as of July 1, the service will be extended to Toronto Film School students.

“We’re fully embracing it – every student, regardless of program, across the whole institution, now has access.”

Yorkville University and Toronto Film School are the first Canadian post-secondary institutions to partner with Studiosity, which is based in Australia and works with universities there, as well as in New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Ireland, to connect students to “anytime, anywhere” study help.

“We are always looking for innovative solutions to help our students move through their programs. Partnering with Studiosity is our latest initiative and we are thrilled to be part of Studiosity’s launch into the Canadian market,” said Pickerell.

“Students lead busy lives, often focusing on schoolwork in the evenings and on weekends, when they may not have immediate access to other services. By partnering with Studiosity, students can connect with a Studiosity Specialist any time and from anywhere, getting the help they need when they need it.”

Moving forward, students will now have free access to 20 interactions every six months with Studiosity’s roster of ‘subject specialists,’ who can assist them with everything from offering up writing tips and answering writing style questions, to helping solve math problems.

Studiosity specialists are now on-hand and available to assist students live whenever needed – even after hours, on weekends, and during breaks.
