Marketing Diploma Name Change Reflects Diversity of Careers in Fashion and Entertainment

At Toronto Film School, the Fashion Marketing & Merchandising Diploma program is adopting a new name: Marketing for Fashion & Entertainment.

“This name change is intended to reflect the career flexibility and collaborative opportunities our students have with the Marketing for Fashion & Entertainment Diploma program,” explained Paula Shneer, Director of Education, Toronto Film School.

First term students in the Toronto Film School's Marketing for Fashion & Entertainment Diploma Program get a lesson in Visual Merchandising from their skilled instructor.

Fashion has infiltrated the worlds of public relations, event planning, marketing, entertainment, film, television and much more.

Shneer explained that since Toronto Film School’s job as an educational institution is to be in front of what’s current, the program name should reflect that.

“Within the curriculum students will have an opportunity to explore the diversity of directions through focused assignments and collaboration,” Shneer explained.

“This is an exciting evolution,” Shneer said. “There is no other program like our Marketing for Fashion & Entertainment Diploma.”
